SAMSUNG's New 5G Galaxy Z Flip 3 - Full Review

1) What is it?

As more smartphones turn to USB-C, Samsung is finally adopting it in their latest 5G SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G smartphone. They’ve retained a similar plastic and glass build as their prior device, but changed things up by removing their now outdated fingerprint sensor from last year’s model. 

In its place sits a touchpad with an integrated fingerprint sensor that users may find easier to use than previous implementations on other phones. 

The button offers greater surface area for placing your finger as well, giving you greater accuracy when unlocking your phone in both landscape and portrait orientations.

3) Design & Build Quality

The SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Flip 3 is quite a sturdy device, with a solid feel and structure. The 5.5-inch display has a 16:9 aspect ratio and is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. 

As mentioned above, SAMSUNG have used a full metal body for the phone which not only looks great but also provides good grip, allowing you to use it one-handed without worrying about dropping it.

Although slightly thicker than other smartphones on the market, you’ll hardly notice any difference when holding or using it. I’m also happy to report that SAMSUNG haven’t gone overboard with their design and kept things relatively simple yet still stylish (no mismatched colours here).
